Dyers Crossing Landcare Group

Wallamba Landcare Group (previously Dyers Crossing Landcare Group) has a broad range of interests and we endeavor to cater to the needs of our members, which includes many tree-changers.

The purpose of the group is to provide opportunities for social connectivity, and inspiration for ways to manage our properties. We meet around five times a year, to share ideas and discuss local issues, which are often unique to our area.

We typically meet at one of the member’s properties, or other properties in the area. It’s interesting to see how different people approach various challenges with their land.

Field days and gatherings are usually from 9-11am and are planned around topical issues raised by the group. They may be held on any day of the week.

Farmer, Les Roberts was one of the founding members of Dyers Crossing Landcare Group. As a volunteer, Les has dedicated an abundance of time and energy into raising awareness of sustainable agriculture and it’s great to see Les coming along to meetings to share his wealth of knowledge and experience.

Our group has its own books specific to this region, on common weeds, indigenous trees, and grasses.
