On 17th March, a number of MidCoast 2 Tops Landcare Connection staff and volunteers gathered at the Hunter Local Land Services offices to attend this year’s NSW Landcare and Local Land Services Conference, which was presented virtually.
Although it was unfortunate that the planned two day gathering in Tweed Heads was cancelled in lieu of a single day online event, it still proved to be a valuable opportunity to get together as a regional group and see some fantastic presentations. With the theme of “Rethink, Renew, Recharge” and MC’d by Craig Reucassel, the conference showcased a wide range of presentations covering everything from evolutionary biology, supporting natural regeneration, and Indigenous land management, to community engagement and social media.
